1. NEXANS, a long-time client, states its great satisfaction with Advanco’s work Claude Zbinden, the former IT Director of Nexans Switzerland, expressed his feelings after more than 10 years of collaboration between Nexans and Advanco: ‘I wanted to thank Advanco for the good and productive collaboration we had. It has always been a great pleasure working with you and your staff, both because of your professional and human qualities’.
Nexans manufactures copper and optical fibre cable products for infrastructure, construction industry and markets. Advanco is the provider of a complete Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solution for both Cortaillod and Breitenbach sites in Switzerland. 10 years of our services were based on confidence and professionalism. Olivier Favre, who is in charge of the project, added: ‘Today Nexans Switzerland has achieved the highest benefits that can be obtained from a MES tool connected to SAP as well as to Ortems Manufacturing Planning’.
We wish Claude Zbinden - who is retiring - the best for his new 'carrier' as a golf coach. We also thank him for his capacity to create a long-term strategic partnership between suppliers and his company.
2. MESSER’s experience with Advanco Messer is one of the top providers and suppliers of industrial gas. The project BABEL (Business Accelerator by European Labelling) deals with the tracking and tracing of gas tubes. The aim is the continuous improvement of the flow between the field and Messer's clients. Advanco’s project includes SAP and Inventory Management systems. Victor Riga, its IT director, expressed his great satisfaction, both with the services and solutions regarding the Track and Trace of Gas Tubes delivered by Advanco.

1. Advanco has opened ‘Advanco Türkiye’ in Istanbul Advanco, while already having successful Belgian and Swiss offices, has opened a local office in Turkey. The office was opened in Istanbul during the Brussels Export Economic Mission on 6th of October, in the presence of the Minister of the Brussels’ Region, Emir Kir. Turkey has many advantages that Advanco didn’t want to miss, such as its 70 million inhabitants and its young population; its position as a world economic power (ranking as 15th in the world and 6th in Europe); its capacity to modernize and, of course, its economic growth. Turkish companies are also very demanding in terms of technology, for example “track & trace”, “internet of things” and “e-Pedigree”, in which Advanco is specialized. 2. Advanco and SAP are collaborating on e-Pedigree in the Pharmaceutical Industry While SAP provides vital systems and applications, Advanco provides industry expertise, necessary technical skills and persistent support. Advanco and SAP provide simple but effective systems to automate product tracking and authentication processes enabled by automatic identification technologies. The pharmaceutical area of our e-Pedigree solution allows the serialization of drugs, boxes and pallets. The complete system is based on the regulations of the Ministry of Health of the Turkish Government and also on global standards. Ready to be used Interfaces allow sending data from manufacturers to health organizations. Advanco’s expertise covers the documentation and validation procedures specific to the pharmaceutical applications. Advanco’s software ARC-PLCM controls and monitors all the packaging lines located at the production site. The system integrates data into the customer’s ERP system. The significant product information can therefore be traced from when it is first made in the factory to when it is finally sold in the pharmacy. --- About e-Pedigree A drug pedigree is a statement of origin that has records of each prior sale, purchase or trade of a drug, including the date of those transactions and the names and addresses of all parties which have received them. As the product moves down the supply chain, each company is required to pass on all previous e-Pedigree information through serialization. Everything about the finished product is therefore known at the final point of sale.

The ‘RFID Smart Shelf of the Future’ – developed in collaboration by Advanco, SAP Research and Siemens - has been chosen to be one of the very few innovations visited by the Chancellor Angela Merkel for the opening of CeBIT - European ICT industry’s most important shop window where the industry exhibits its trends and its future - on 4 March 2008. The CEO of SAP Henning Kagermann has shown the demo himself. The “futuristic” Smart Shelf allows the identification of all the items sitting on a retail shelf. All changes are automatically and immediately detected and communicated to the virtual world. The concept can be used also in manufacturing and logistics where a real-time inventory of a shelf is needed. The local intelligence of the Smart Shelf is implemented in ARC™ which enables real-life movements of the identified objects to be monitored correctly using local intelligence functionalities. ARC™ integrates the information to the SAP system where high level processing and many functions such as the optimisation of retail functions and promotions take place. 2.
